too many games...?

howdy...

is it just coincidence or is everyone just booked up from ladder and tournaments? Many times when I finish a game and re-challenge a player a note comes up saying the player has max games already in play...I would have thought the end of our game freed up a game so to speak...?

How many games is allowed for those who haven't paid up? lol

Re: too many games...?

Good questions! In general, when a game is finished, you will be able to challenge that player because you did free up a game. However, with tournaments, players are allowed to temporarily exceed their maximum number of active games. So if they are over their limit, they won't be able to start any new games until they are back under their limit.

For the number of active backgammon games for a player, please refer to FAQ #21 -- we wrote a FAQ knowing that people would ask this question  .

Membership

Very simple solution! In order to free up a game, your opponents need to pay the membership. It costs around $20 (USA) a year (about $1.75 per month). If you can afford high speed Internet, then why not pay the membership due? That is where you can have more than 25 games at anytime!

Also, since the Zoo Staff added many new features (Ladder games, Tournaments, set up icons, etc), we should support them so they can create new features, improve something and much more.

That is why I signed up recently because I really enjoy having a very long list of my opponents and play many games as possible!

Yup...

I agree the membership is very reasonable. I'm in Australia and it wasn't much more than $22 (can't actually remember the exact cost).

I'd tried the internet backgammon and it stinks. Half the time the players pike out and you are left playing against a computer which is usually very stupid even when playing the hard level. After that I tried a few games with ZooEscape. I quickly came to appreciate their effort in making it a great gaming site.
