Error or "feature"?? Hi all, When I start a new game, I normally select the option exclude players I am currently playing with. Since a week or so, it happens to me to be automatically assigned the first of the available games, which often is not what I wanted! Is this a feature? Best regards, ciccio65 |

Re: Error or When starting a new game, a game is searched for that matches the criteria you've selected. If there's an existing game, you will be placed in that game. Otherwise a new game will be created and you will wait for another player to match or choose your game. It may be that there are more games waiting for players now than previously so that's why you've been matched to an existing game. It's only an error if the game that you've been matched to doesn't meet the criteria you've selected. If that's the case, please let us know by writing to us at the Contact Us link, and provide as much information as possible. Thanks! |

Not happy Thanks for the reply. I think I never realized it was so, because since now I always play long games, and there was none available. However, I am not happy with this implementation, because there might be available games with players whom I _temporarily_ do not want to match (e.g. because I just played with them). Best regards, ciccio65 |

Not happy Ciccio, Look at it another way . . . if you started a game with whatever parameters you wanted to, but those parameters did not exclude that someone whom you temporarily don't want to play with, they could select your game and you'd be stuck playing them again. ZE, In addition to the max and min rating and "Excluding players I'm playing" as options for starting a new game, perhaps there could be another option to "Exclude players I've recently played". Perhaps that setting could be in number of games, days, weeks or some other variable. Just my $0.02 |

Employment Thanks for the kudos. As for the inundation of questions, I won't hold my breath. I will however, answer those that I can. In general, most of the answers are on the site somewhere, its just a matter of finding them. Hence my suggestion of having a search feature to locate forum questions or other FAQs appropriate to a topic. Now back to my day job . . . |
