One possibility

I prefer 4-man teams but, if the situation doesn't change, how about we create three 3-man teams for Iran and Canada and then wait for ChWaqasAhmed to complete his team so we can reach 16?

Join a team?

We would like to join a team.
Maybe Canada since we visit the San Juan Islands often😊

Nations Tournament

Is it too late to join a Canada team?

I say we don't wait because it's dragging for too long already. People who expressed interest in playing but don't currently have a team might be put into the UN team. Let's start playing!

. . . possibility

Yiann.., It is not a good idea.
I don't agree to have 3 or 4-man teams.
It'll be not "clear", complicated.
I support mixed team.

3-man Teams

We need to reconsider some rules giving an advantage to 3-man teams. Currently, any 4-man team can improve its average performance by dropping the weakest player. Therefore it is better to have a strong 3-man team rather than adding a new weak player. Current rules are supporting building small teams of strong players. There are at least two possible ways to take back the advantage of 3-man teams:

1-To ban 3-man teams

2-Whenever a 3-man team plays against a 4-man team, the 4-man team can freely choose 3 players from their ranks to play against the players of the 3-man team.

Teams ought to be supported not punished for building a complete team.

3-man team

I think a 3 man team has a advantage as plasmon says. But I do not like his #2 solution. Not fair that a player has to sit out.

???

How does a three-man team have any advantage?
Each player plays each other once (3x4).
This isn't gameknot where players from the two teams pair off!
