first tournament format Talked to Leoton about the upcoming tournament. We are glad to see the interest people have for this kind of competition! Since we now have more participants than the originally planned number, the idea is to split the players into two sub-groups of 11 or 12 players in each and then subsequently have a semi-final/final stage for the top 2 players from each group. Anyway, to make things transparent the drawing won't be random. Instead, we'll use then-current ratings of the participants (most likely as of next Sunday per Leoton's discretion) and form the groups as follows: ratings #1,3,5,7,9, etc. go to group 1 and all even ratings go to group 2. Still need people to confirm their participation (thank you to the ones who already did!) |
