With the last two rolls of 5-6 and double 6 to build a wall, trapping two chips, Lilwarrior wisely rejected Cube 2.

Both players are playing very wisely and patiently  

if it would hv been a round 1 game it would hv been decided till now

Lilwarrior built a wall, and took a chance on doubling, as my position was better. I think it was a good choice to reject it by Steelerhead.

I had a wall of 6 in my home, and Steeler couldn't get past my trailers. A cube offer ended it. Steeler thought I could gammon. Maybe. I'll take the point and even up after being behind 3-1.

Wow, what a risky MOVE by both players..

if steeler would hv accepted and LW could not roll 1,2 then it would be SH all over But if LW could roll 1,2 after double he could hv won with a gammon making 4 points  


But both did the right thing and kept their cool and decided to go on next game by losing and gaining only 1 point

Ah, but you have forgotten about the other hits with any other rolls totalling 8 or 9, making 28/36 rolls that hit something next roll. Although that is close to the 25% threshhold I agree it is a drop. If the other spare checker wasn't there and it was only a 1 or 2 to hit then a big take.

I doubled at a point where I thought he had to accept it, but I had a good position. Then he goes and rolls 6-6 to make it interesting! A little cat and mouse led to me able to hit (good dice!) and finish it. Another 6-6 wasn't enough at the end.

So, I have a slight edge now. Time to widen the gap.

I was able to place 2 on the bar early, leaving my 6-5-2 open. 3 no plays for Steeler settled it. One of the reasons I always lean on placing men on the bar. Ya just never know what might happen.

Widen the gap!
