Need rules for pace of play for T3. Going on vacation is a great thing. However, we need a rule that states something to the effect that "a minimum of X matches/week must be completed by each player to remain in the T." For T3, players who can't keep up to the agreed to pace should be considered as 'resigned', and the rules we previously voted on should be applied concerning resigned players. The agreed to pace should be reasonable and fair to everyone (see my post on page 8 of this thread). I'm afraid if we don't do this, we run the risk of our unofficial T's taking nearly as long as the standard ZE T's. Our T's are much more fun though |

Tournament 3 Rules uahskr, I have yet to decided the final format, rules and limitations T3 will have. However no rule regarding X matches/week will used in the tourney I run. That's not to say other players will not use this rule when they run future tourneys. The rules will be posted on a new thread and all players will have the chance to look them over before they join. By joining T3 a player will be agreeing to the Tourney rules. These rules will be final (For T3) and I will not accept the moaning about rules/format etc that took a bit of the fun out of T2. If players want different rules they are more than welcome to run a future Tourney themselves with whatever rules they would like to see. |

T3 rules Peter, I couldn't agree more that the host gets to decide the rules for the T they host. It is then up to the players to decide if they can adhere to the rules as dictated by the host before joining a particular T. I guess I must have missed the posts that 'moaned' about T2's rules. I did see several posts that suggested ways to improve future T's. My suggestions on page 8 of this thread are merely that -- suggestions for potential ways to improve future Ts. Suggestions can be used, modified, or not used by future hosts. Deciding which rules will be used should be one of the perks of hosting a T which is no trivial matter. However, a legitimate and ongoing purpose of our Forum should be to allow players to politely offer suggestions on ways to improve the future T's for all players, while being very careful to not criticize the host of the current T. Thanks again for offering to host T3. I am looking forward to it. Cheers! |

… I agree, this forum should be used for suggestions etc. But from now on could everyone agree to please start a new thread for these discussions so they don't clutter up threads that should be for the enjoyment of ongoing Tourneys. |

Separate threads for reporting results and suggestions Good idea Peter. Perhaps when you post the rules etc for T3 someone (perhaps you or me) could start a separate thread designated strictly for making suggestions for future T's. And again, it would be up to future hosts to pick and choose the suggestions that make the most sense to them. Your idea will hopefully make future hosts' jobs more straightforward. If you like, I'd be happy to take on the task of collecting and summarizing the suggestions made by players in the designated thread and then presenting them to the next host for their consideration for T4. |
