In the past we have accommodated regions based on geographical proximity.
If David Cool is the only Colombian, why not place him in a Latin American team?
I have played against several such players e.g. Rigoberto (Guatemala), Mariamendieta (Argentina), Pepistos and Bachi-bouzouk (Mexico) and even some US players with Latin names (Oroyo?)

There are many players from Turkey I have played against including some from Australia with Turkish-sounding names.
Maybe Alp Arslan (and ChwaqasAhmed) can team up with those and form a Pak-Turk team?

The whole purpose of the tournament is to establish friendship and camaraderie among the members of each national team and understanding, through competition, with players of other countries.
In the past we have accommodated players who wanted to compete without compromising the purpose or ideals of the Nations tournament.
Creating a strong team simply to win, without caring about the purpose of the tournament, is not what I envision.

At Gameknot, there exists a team competition without any criteria - or any purpose similar to our own.
It is not the same here.

As far as dates go: at this point I am not sure if there will even be a 3rd tournament. Should enough players - who are aware of our purpose - sign on, I will be glad to post the dates and rules and once again invest my time to make this tournament a success.
