Apologies and Congratulations Late last night I noticed an omission on my part in the standings of Group A (didn't count the score of Iran - UK2). The correct standings are: 1. Iran............3 games....4 points...30-18.....625 2. Germany....2 games....2 points...14-18.....438 3. USA2..........3 games....2 points....23-25....479 4. UK2............2 games....2 points....14-18....438 What this means is that Germany - and not UK2 - will go through if their match ends in a draw. As that match stands at 8-7 in favour of Germany, with only one game to go... congratulations, Germany, on becoming the 5th team to qualify for the knock out round! |
