Rules clarification please

R4zz

What happens if more than one player finishes on the same number of "wins"?
How will it be determined which of the 2 (or more) players finishes in which spot?

This might be particularly relevant if more than one player finishes equal 8th in the ladder.

SB-
you are the third person to think of this and there have been a couple of ideas-- I am willing to listen to ALL suggestions on this and started talking about it early.

My first thoughtwas that ANY tie would be settled by looking at the players profile and using the percentage of wins overall within zooescape--

the higher percentage would advance--

I think it was the KId who made another suggestion to look at the match that the two players played and the one who won that match would advance--

I would like help and input on coming up with the best solution-- one thing i want to avoid is having some playoff for that-- NOW is the time to talk about this so thank you for bringing this up again--

maybe a combination of the two ideas would be the answer..

any body want to comment? feel free--

updated rules

I updated the rules paragraph on tie breakers and would like feedback -

Is it clear? is it a good solution?

http://r4zzm4t4zz.yolasite.com/rules.php

Does anyone have a better way of wording it.

After thinking about it I do think that the first place to lok to settle a tie between two players would be at the match that they played.

if it gets more complicated with three four or more players then we can look at the matches played among those players AND if we have to the players winning percentage over the lifetime of his membership here-- or soething to that effect.

thanks

g nite- will update tomorrow after noon

Rules

I like KK's suggestion. It seems well accepted in most sports.

1. Should two players end on the same amount of points, the player who won the 5 game match-play between them will advance.

2. Should more than 2 players end up on the same amount of points, the winner will be decided on points difference.
Each player will add his wins and losses for ALL games in this competition. Whoever has the greatest points difference will advance.

3. Should the points difference be tied, the person who has the most wins shall advance.

What do you think?

updated through this point

Please check - I am sure I got it right but I am FAR FAR from perfect

checking on a regular basis will make a smooth ending.

yesterday I checked mine and realized that I had a match that was not finished but no active games so we got it going again.

just check your own-- and the rest will fall into place.

and thank you for making this a good T
