1. I say we start as agreed on October 1.
Teams had more than a month to figure out their rosters
2. Yes, that's probably the only way to have at least a 3-member team unless of course they can recruit a new player within next 24 hours.

Take time for all things and let the teams grow organically.  
Why not create a World Team or a World Peace Team or a World Faith Team or another Team ?

I am convinced if we chose a different perspective and not focus too much on the date, everything will work out fine and we will have 16 teams sooner than expected. Eventually we just need two more players. This shouldn't be too difficult

I'm sympathetic to Yiann .. as an organizer(difficulty).
I sent messages to several Iranians arbitrarily, "on my head"   and asked Mazziar set to 2 teams 3 players.

The question is not whether to delay indefinitely, whether to form new teams, and so. The question is in the rules.
All of us, who have agreed to participate must do it in a timely.

(anyway I am personally disappointed and tired of waiting)
