another cube idea

Could there be an option on our settings to disable the feature that allows us the option of offering the doubling cube if we're on the bar? (Or simply make the change permanent for everyone.)

How many times is anyone really likely to offer the cube if they have a piece on the bar? The fact that I have the right to offer the cube when my opponent has all the spots covered and I can't get on, is ridiculous. It just slows the game down.

crazy players

maybe a crazy player might want to offer the doubling cube in that type of game LOL...but I see your point and say, 'affirmative'.

cube from the bar

Do you mean prevent cube offering just because you have a checker on the bar, or when you have a checker on the bar AND the opponents board is closed?

Because if the opponent board is not closed (and particularly, if it has blots) offering the cube from the bar might actually happen to be a good idea sometimes...

cube from the bar

Rafael,
Ok, good point. Perhaps the programming on ZE's end would be too difficult to determine if there was a blot on your opponent's home while you had a piece on the bar. And maybe its not such a good idea to tinker with it too much. I'm not wedded to the idea, but would like to see something implemented if all six spots are covered and there's no hope of hitting a piece when you get on.

ZE? Thoughts?

Acontece...

[message in portuguese]

E agora vc

Speed up

I am hooked with doubling cube....Lilwarrior brought it up a while ago and ZE addressed the problem but I don't see it solved. When I cannot move any chips because of full board by an opponent, why should I click to roll the dice while my chip(s) is/are on the bar? I prefer to use force move for the sake of my mind. It is driving me crazy when I click the dice roll for nothing. I believe it is doable to solve this issue. Right, ZE? Let's speed up!
